A doctor recommended you to have a fusion...Now what?
Ask a Spine Surgeon: Why Artificial Disc Replacement over Fusion?
WHY DISC REPLACEMENT?
Technological advancements in spine have provided a motion-preserving alternative to traditional fusion. Disc replacement is a type of surgery that removes a damaged spinal disc and replaces it with an artificial disc, keeping the natural anatomical motion of your spine intact.
As a leader in this space, Dr. Kimball is committed to providing the highest quality of care and getting you back to doing the things you love. Click below for more information on the patient experience with Dr. Kimball.
Below is a link to the videos section of the website. These go into artificial disc replacement in much more detail and walk you through every step of the process including what to expect from a pre-operative standpoint all the way through post-operative care and pain management.
ANATOMIC MOTION,
PRESERVED.
